ABOUT ANDY WARHOL
Just like his art, he has his origins in the everyday world of lower-class Pittsburg. Born to immigrant parents, Andy developed a desire for reinvention early on. After attending the
Carnegie Institute of Technology, he became a popular commercial artist in New York. Still restless for reinvention, he transformed once again into the pop-art sensation of the 1960s,
altering the art world with his distinct graphic style and usage of silk-printing. Andy Warhol represents not only the spirit of 1960s America, but stood at the center of the cultural shift that was taking place then, from music to identity and personal expression.
This collaboration with the Andy Warhol Foundation is our way of furthering his legacy, reinventing
his works once again with LED neons!
